Design Considerations
Ensuring a True Water Park Experience
When conceptualizing a small water park development, it is essential to design a genuine water park rather than a glorified swimming pool. Every detail is significant, aiming to minimize exclusions and create a park catering to everyone.
- Location and Cultural Sensitivity
- Natural Look with Abundant Landscaping and Man-Made Beach Features
- Immersive Experience through Themed Landscaping and Structures
External Circulation
The entire water park complex follows a storyline, making it easy for visitors to understand the theming. Walkways are themed and shaded by trees and shrubbery, providing a cohesive experience.
Architectural Vernacular
The architectural theme is a sandcastle, using natural materials to create a realistic look. Structures are built with concrete and brickwork, finished with theme-carved plaster, artificial rockwork, and sand mounds.
Landscaping
The landscape architecture focuses on:
- Soft Scape Landscaping: Utilizing indigenous plants to create a beach theme.
- Hardscape Elements: Including paved walkways, artificial rock formations, and themed elements.
- Lush Green Areas: Ensuring relaxation and a natural feel.
